What is SUCCESS in the Indian Society?

Success in the Indian Society is a very intangible thing, not easy to decipher. The eastern philosophy states that success for any person should be that he should be content and happy with his life and is at peace with himself.

But the above philosophy does not apply to the Indian Society where show off, bragging, jealousy, envy, hatred and discrimination form the core part of the society.

Hence here are the salient points which define success in the Indian Society.

Success means that you score 90 to 100 % marks in your school exams. It does not matter if you have no practical skills or are an inactive child who cannot participate in any sports.

Success means that you get admission into the top engineering/medical/MBA/in demand course colleges whether you like the course or not. Those who take off beaten courses like Arts, English literature, animation etc are considered  to be losers.

Success means that you earn a six figure salary even if you hate your job, your work and your boss.

Success means that you are a subservient man and blindly follow the orders of your parents. Those who rebel and take their own decisions are branded as outcasts.

Success means that you marry a girl of your parent’s choice and not of your choice/love/expectations.

Success means that that your wife should be a fair milky white bride with a fulsome figure; she should be highly educated and yet, be a subservient house wife/daughter in law.

Success means that the couples copulate immediately after marriage and produce children as fast as possible. Making your parents into grandparents is a part of the game. Economic family planning goes for a toss.

Success means that you work in a maniacal megapolis with a reputed organization. It does not matter if you have commute 2 hours regularly to reach your work place and your quality of life has become to that of a garbage can.

Success means that you have a 2 or 3 BHK flat, even if you have to take a huge home loan for the same and live in a constant fear of paying the EMI’s.

Success means that you have the car which is in vogue. That means, those who drive an alto or Maruti 800 are poor and those who travel in autos and public transport are beggars.

Success means that you have the latest flat screen LCD in your drawing home and all the latest electronics in your home, whether you need it or not.

Success means that you are seen in all the public functions along with your wife and children with a smiling face in giving the impression of the happy hum saath saath hai family. Single people are considered to be failures.

Success means that you child is performing well in his/her school and getting good marks just as you were getting in your childhood.

Success means that you celebrate 25 or even 50 years of marriage even though you are stuck in the marriage where there in nothing but vacuum filled in it.

Success means that you travel to the already most traveled destinations in the world like US, UK or Australia, take pictures of the same and show it to others. Those who travel to off beaten places like Mongolia, Kazak tan, Mozambique are failures/losers even though the latter mentioned places are more exotic than the former.

The Rude Answers I give to Anyone and Everyone Who Question My Single Status

I am Single, 30 and content with my life and would like to be that way. I don’t have problems with anyone and I keep up to myself minding my own business.

Unfortunately I am a part of the Indian Society, the society with has the dubious distinction of harboring double standards. This Society does not like Non Conformists who do stick to the rules and regulations of it.

Hence being Single at 30 in considered being Non Conformist to the Society. 

Often I am asked a Question repeatedly again and again “Why are you still Single?” and if that was not enough there is a forced insistence of getting married as soon as possible. Horrible future scenarios are constructed/manufactured by some people and put in front me.

So now i have designed my ingenious ways to answer people when they ask me such idiotic questions. Some of them are mentioned below.

I AM GAY!!!!!!!! And if it is man questioning my single status, i will also say “Dude, i have got liking for you especially your cute chubby body. Want to come with me for a night.”

Well, if milk is readily available in the Market then why should i keep a buffalo in my house.

To the prospective Mothers and Sisters looking for a match for their daughters and siblings “I have 2 cases of rape pending against me and i am considered to be a suspect in a gang rape case also”. After saying this i am sure that they will not come in 5kms radius near me.

I suffer from HIV, Hepatitis, Syphilis and Gonorrhea and all the other Sexual Transmitted disease present on this planet.

I didn’t come across the right person. Woman are not the only ones who make choices, we men  also have the right to choose.

I am still a virgin, but would like to take a woman on a test drive to get some experience before getting married, please could you offer your wife, sister or daughter for the same????
