DOTSIM stands for the diary of the Single Indian Male.
Positive Engagement, what does that mean, some of the single Indian men must be thinking of getting engaged to someone positively!!!! HAHAHAHHA, no my friends , positive engagement is about keeping oneself engaged in activities which have a positive outcome.
Living alone/single is not easy, that also in the Indian Society,situations at times can drive you mad. Many of us have decent jobs and we may love our work, but there is a life after 5 O clock, there is a life on weekends, there is a life during holidays.
The reason why boredom has crept in our lives is because there is no engagement after work. Our educational system has only laid emphasis on rote learning, getting a job and living a boring life ever after. We have never been taught to appreciate life, we have never been exposed to creative arts.
This is sad but true.
But never mind, never late than never, i request all the single Indian males to find some activity for engagement, something that keeps your mind positively occupied and brings positive thoughts. It can be any activity, just any, but i would like to list down a few that you will like:
Reading
Learning to Cook
Pottery, sculpturing
Theatre
Teaching
Music-Learning to play an instrument
Watching Dramas and Plays
Watching award winning movies
Downloading/Buying a Famous TV series box sets and watching all the seasons
Writings
Gardening
Painting
Volunteering ( Should be for something good)
Travelling
And a lot more, the list never ends, but as i said , one must positively engage himself in some activity that keeps the mind occupied. Do it and you will learn to appreciate live.
