My dear single Indian male friends. Greetings for the Day!!!!!!
Often I have been asked this question, whom do you have to go back to after your work/office hours????Friends, relatives and colleagues ask me this questions on and off. Some tell me that they have to go back to their parents and while the other state that they have to go back their spouses and children.
But the question put in front of me is , whom do I have to go back to??? Empty homes, silent rooms, with no one waiting for me and having my lunch and dinner in solitary spaces!!!!
So the single Indian male would like to answer to the members of the Indian society that we do have things to go back to after office hours and my answers come down in the following statements:
We do go back to our homes, for some it is a dream home which has been made out of hard work, bought on housing loans with payment of EMI's and it is our home.
We have a nice shower to go back to where we have the luxury of having a peaceful bath, for some enthusiastic people there is even a jacuzzi.
There is a fitness routine waiting for us, it can be gym, jogging or swimming. Fitness has become a religion for some of us.
And for those of us who refused to grow up, we have our gaming entertainment waiting for us in the form of desktop gaming manchines, playstations, xbox's and many more.
On the culinary front we have our kitchen which in some way has become a temple for us where we make food and hone our culinary skills.
A lovely home environment awaits us where we can turn on some beautiful music and rest on our couch with a glass of scotch or coffee in our hand and enjoy our beautiful moments of solitude.
And if you never knew, we have an arsenal of movies stored with us either in the form of DVD's stacks or in 1 terabite Hard disk. Many of them are classics and we enjoy watching movies at our own pace.
For those who live in metropolitan cities, there are many things within the city that are awaiting us to explore, from small coffee shops to good food joints, from new shopping malls to old museums and places of historical importance.
The philanthropists who volunteer for different movements and NGO's have their presence awaited as they are able to contribute and do their goodwill to the society.
The academically inclined single Indian male has his interest awaiting for him in the form of continuous professional development where he is able to upgrade his knowledge and skills , not to say the certifications he gets.
And those of us who are artistically inclined are just waiting to get back home where they can pursue their hobbies of reading, writing, painting, drama, sculpting and what not.
And so my dear Friends of the Indian society, please understand that we have a lot of things and activities waiting for us. Unlike you we do not require someone to fulfill our lives, we have done it by engaging ourselves in different activities of our interest, something maybe you will never be able to do.
And with this we the single Indian males look forward to each and every day. CHEERS!!!!!!!!
