The common stories i keep hearing from people is about the glorious times they had in the past. Some were Beauty Queens during their College Day, some were award winning sportsmen, some were great debaters and event organizers while other strictly followed exercise and fitness regimes.
But what happened now??? Why during adulthood all seems to have forgotten??
The same woman who was a beauty queen blessed with good looks has now become a Jumbo Baby Elephant at-least in terms of her weight and the same lean fellow with amazing biceps and wash board abdominal s has now become pot bellied.
When i look at these people, i realize that somewhere down the line they lost their interest in life, in themselves.
Bogged down by responsibilities both personal and professional, these people forgot to take care of them, forgot to realize that they had a life too.
How many people do you really come across today in India who are living their lives and enjoying it??
One puts his/her step in adulthood and that's it you have commitments to make and responsibilities to take. A good job, EMI's, Home Loans, marriage, Husband/wife, Kids, in-Laws, Family Relations, Society etc etc......
The list goes on and on till it becomes endless and when do we stop somewhere and ask ourselves that while fulfilling the expectations of others , are we making ourselves happy???? Are we living a life that we should live??
In Metro Cities i see people just Commuting for Hours, spending extra time in their offices and then going home too eat, watch T.V and then sleep. The next Morning they wake up and follow the same routine.
Where is the thrill in life???????
We watch a lot of Movies Hollywood and Bollywood, but we fail to learn something from the Meaning that is trying to convey. We watch and then we forget.
Many of us would have watched Zindagi na Milegi Dobara (ZNMD) directed by Zoya Akhtar. What does that movie convey??? Go and live your life man/woman.
If you want to do something go ahead and do it, if you feel that getting into a Matrimonial Alliance is something that you are not prepared for then don't go for it.
Before saying yes to the Customs and Norms put up by the Indian Society ask yourself some Questions?? Will you be happy?? Will you be able to pursue your interests, leisure's and Hobbies??? If yes go ahead and if no then why the hell are you trying to spoil your life my friend???
Regrets, depression, sadness, a bitter divorce and a worthless life is something you will have if you go on following the norms and rules.
I am not asking you to become a rebel, but always ask yourself that will you be happy with the life chaging decisions you take.
For all those people reading this blogpost, please ask yourself ,are you really happy??? Go and find out what makes you happy??
Go out and pursue those interests of yours. Go for that swim, Jog, Gym and Aerobic Classes. Go and buy those classical literature books and read them. Go and play that sport that you played during your childhood. Take a strict Fitness regime and see the effects of it.
How much satisfaction you will get when you loose that extra weight in your tummy and become thin, the happiness on playing your favorite sport, the joy on reading good novels and literature????
That is the life that you should lead, then you will never be dreaming in that glorious past of yours but living in the Happy Present.
Please go out and have a life after all its you life and you get to live it only once.
