Bhaveen Sheth-DOTSIM-Successful Completion of the IRMA Marathon

And 27th January 2013 it was, the day when i ran and completed the 5kms IRMA Marathon run. It was worth it, every moment treasured and gone in one of those happy memoirs of life.

Bhaveen Sheth-DOTSIM-Exploring Jewish Synagogues in India

DOTSIM stands for Diary of the Single Indian Male.

My Dear Single Indian Male Friends,

I am a fan of Judaism and an ardent follower of Jewish History, it is amazing to note that Judaism is an old religion in India, as old as 2,500 years old. Jews settled in India mostly on the Coastal Side of India after the fall of the first and second temple in their ancient lands.

I happened to explore their synagogues (Jewish Worship Places/Jewish Temple). One of them happens to be located in Ahmedabad, in the Old City. It is known by the name of Magen Abraham Synagogue and it is constructed 80 years ago. The Jewish population that time in Ahmedabad was considerable, however after the formation of the state of Israel, may jews emigrated there. There are only around 100 or so in Ahmedabad.

I happened to meet the care taker of the Synagouge, Mr.Jacob. He lives near the Synagogue and conducts the weekly prayers. Please find the photos below

And it finally came, 6th of January 2013, i ran the 7 km dream run Ahmedabad Marathon. These are the pictures post the marathon, i never felt so happy and contented.

BHAVEEN SHETH-DOTSIM-The New Year Begins

Dear Single Indian Males,

A small change in my blog heading title, it is DOTSIM and the abbreviation stands for Diary of the Single Indian Male.

A very Happy New Year to all you mates. Happy 2013, hope the new year brings good luck to all of us and hope that many single guys get hitched this year. Of course that does not mean that i will get hitched.

This year brings a lot of changes in my life. Post 30, one always feels that with every passing year, time is going by so one should better start planning for the future.

So what should the single Indian Male who is post 30 plan for???? Plenty,  but please prioritize. You just don't want to end up with empty plans and nothing to implement.

So what do I prioritize for myself this year???
